Peggy Guggenheim Collection

Last month the husband and I went to soak in some culture at the Art Gallery as the Peggy Guggenheim Collection was on display.

Although we know nothing about art it was fun to look around and point at the pieces we liked. I had always thought all the great Artists were old and died hundreds of years ago, but Picasso died in 1973 - which wasn't that long ago. That's mind boggling.

The exhibit doesn't allow any cameras but here are pictures I found on the internet of some of the artwork that stood out to us.

Enjoy!

Antonie Pevsner, Developable Surface, 1938-1939

John Tunnard, Psi, 1938

Vasily Kandinsky, Upward, 1929

Yves Tanguy, Promontory Palace, 1931

Go check it out and see the real thing for yourself. These pictures do it no justice. The exhibit is only here till the end of January.
