UWA Spring Feast 2010

UWA Spring Feast is an annual event and the highlight of Multicultural Week. From far and wide, Perth's Asians flock to sample food, drinks and desserts. We reminisce on street side food that is rare to come by. The main difference is the exorbitant prices, yet many still deem it worthy.

It's been years since the husband and I have attended. Unexpectedly it's gotten bigger and better. But with that the swarm of Asians seems to have grown too. It's not surprising that we managed to only stay 15mins. How times have changed.

The two most popular stalls:

Satay

Twist Potato

As we were leaving we cut through the back of a row of stalls and there a young toddler slept on a sheet on the floor under the watchful eye of his father whilst the family cooked up a feast. I couldn't help but smile. In that moment, it truly felt like Malaysia.
