2010-10-31: Day 16
Plot:
Elizabeth Gilbert (Julia Roberts) had everything a modern woman is supposed to dream of having – a husband, a house, a successful career – yet like so many others, she found herself lost, confused, and searching for what she really wanted in life. Newly divorced and at a crossroads, Gilbert steps out of her comfort zone, risking everything to change her life, embarking on a journey around the world that becomes a quest for self-discovery. In her travels, she discovers the true pleasure of nourishment by eating in Italy; the power of prayer in India, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance of true love in Bali.
Review:
It's quite a long movie and slow in some parts but there's some funny moments. It's not my type of movie but it's a great way to unwind and not think for a few hours and at the end everything works out for Gilbert. The highlight of the movie is seeing Italy, India and Bali. Makes me want to travel.
On a side note:
Adult movie tickets are $17.50 per person. WHAT THE??? That's extortion.
Back in my day tickets were $7.00 *chuckles* Not showing my age at all... I just have a good memory.
Tomorrow begins birthday month. Yay!! Bring on the celebrations!!!
